Saving The Panther Lancers Part 2: First attempt!

This is the first result of my Panther Lancer rescue attempt.

I am pretty happy with the result, but I will try to make the arms better proportioned in the next one. I will also see if I can do anything about the big hands. The shield comes from E-M4 miniatures where you can buy a bag of 50 mixed shields for £1.02!

I will probably explain more thoroughly in a later post how the conversion was done.

  1. Nice work on this figure. More work than I’ll ever bother to do personally, and no-one should have to do this much work to salvage a model that’s supposed to work out of the box, but you’ve done a great job, nonetheless.

  2. Yeah, I would ceirtainly not recommend any one to buy these. It is more of an excercise and a challenge than anything else. I pick them up whenever I feel like it, right now they are way back in the line while I paint miniatures that I actually like from the start. The main problem with these is the arms, they are just horrible. Also, Mantic should really get someone else than Heath Foley to do designs for units.
